sjsu posters

A compilation of posters I created during my Marketing and Communications internship at San José State University's College of Humanities and Arts.

"SJSU Wind Ensemble" concert poster. I created this poster by layering various images and textures in Photoshop and working with typography on Illustrator.

"Picturing Freedom Dreams," a poetry workshopping event featuring American poet Matthias Svalina. I wanted to visualize Svalina's writing style, which has dream-like feel. Lines from his poems flow around the space.

"Beethoven Symphony no. 9" concert, featuring a piano from SJSU's Beethoven museum, located in the MLK Jr. Library.

"SJSU Jazz Orchestra," a music event poster inspired by "Blue Notes" design style, a style that was popular in the American jazz scene in the 1950s.

"Young Pianists Beethoven Competition" poster featuring a piano from SJSU's Beethoven museum, which was used in this competition.

"Chamber Music Concert" poster series. A set of posters designed to showcase the lively and vibrant style of chamber music and the SJSU band showcasing the genre.
