For the mood board, my client wanted to incorporate hand-drawn characters and a wordmark into the full logo. We gathered some logos from other coffee shops and pop culture with similar concepts to gain some inspiration and direction for the project.

My client wanted to showcase cultures and flavors from all over the world through their menu items as part of their vision. I envisioned a mascot that "sails" around the world, exploring different cultures to help tell that part of my client's story. I also played around with monograms in the design language.

After the first round of designs, my client gravitated toward the cat and dog concept. For the typography, we wanted to use a sans-serif typeface that would match with the mascots.

From there, I refined the two mascots my client wanted to use for their brand. Because we wanted to maintain a hand-drawn look, I just cleaned and smoothed out what we started with to stay true to the original sketches.
